Beth King

Beth King is the principal of King Merj Public Relations, a Wichita company that provides a broad spectrum of public relations services along with marketing and advertising counsel.
Beth located in Wichita in 1981 after serving in Washington, DC as a Legislative Assistant to US Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) both on his personal staff as well as the Senate Judiciary Committee staff where she guided federal legislation and managed constituent communication and contact on committee issues. She transitioned her attention to local government upon moving to Wichita and in addition to strategizing and managing several successful local political campaigns (including Carl Brewer for Mayor 2008) has earned a significant reputation in her own right as a grassroots advocate and as a candidate for the Wichita City Council in 1999.
Beth is a respected community advocate and is a former member of the Boards of Directors of The Metro Area Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Wichita Convention and Visitors Bureau, Wichita Independent Business Association, Habitat for Humanity’s Home Mart Store and Wichita Independent Neighborhoods. She is also a former member of Downtown Rotary and is a frequent presenter on “Government Day” during the annual Chamber of Commerce “Leadership Wichita” program.
